Beautiful wedding at a mansion in CT this past weekend…old world romance meets a multi-racial wedding. The arrangements were garden like and bursting with vibrant colors perfect for a hot July day.

Had a crazy but amazing memoral day weekend with weddings every day, an incredibly talented team and some beautiful images of our work to share. Made it through another amazing wedding season. Go BFE team! Peonies and Hydrangea were the most popular flower choices.

Our team worked so hard this past weekend pulling off a huge Greek wedding where flowers ruled the day! Hydrangea and peonies were the primary flowers and the arrangements were made to WOW! It was well worth the effort and the arrangements were stunning.

Known as the kissing ball, pomanders are in high demand with today’s brides and are used for a range of décor – flower girls, ceremony aisles and reception decor. They are flowers shaped in a ball and simply suspended from a loop of decorative ribbon, rope or cord. They can be decorated and adorned with just about anything, some of my favorites are pearls and Swarovski crystals attached to thin floristry wire and placed in between each flower. Some churches don’t allow Rose petals and there’s also the risk that you could slip on the petals when walking down the aisle. Pomanders are practical and easy to hold, a great alternative to the traditional flower girl basket and perfect for older flower girls who aren’t quite junior bridesmaids. Little girls are always happy to carry flowers down the aisle like the “big girls”. Carnations or mums are the best flowers to use in pomanders since others can be heavy and don’t look as good in a tightly packed ball. The best thing about Carnations is that they are available in many different shades and colors to match your wedding decor and when used alone are modern and beautiful, not to mention easy on the budget. If you love the idea of a pomander but have your heart set on flower Petals, considering giving petals to guests in organza pouches to sprinkle as you and your groom exit the ceremony.

Interesting centerpiece we did this weekend for the sweetest client – it’s not very bridal but definitely original!

This was a very special weekend for the Bridal Flower Divas team! We did one of my best friends weddings and another gorgeous wedding in Long Beach. The highlights were stunning orchid arrangements using blue water to complement the beach setting. We also built a beautiful chuppah draped with orchids, crystals and branches with lots of help from my handy husband.

Loving all these gorgeous Spring flowers! May brides couldn’t be luckier…peonies are only in season for about a month every year and when they are fully open are so fluffy and fragrant. Makes for a stunning bouquet and complements almost any flower in an arrangement.

We did a fabulous wedding this past weekend where red ruled the day! A combo of shades of reds accented by hanging crystals and a sexy vase made for a wow centerpiece!
